Personally I believe that one is never too old to have a relationship. People marry at all kinds of different ages! There's nothing wrong with wanting to be with someone you like and who just makes you feel good but you haven't found them yet. That doesn't mean that they aren't out there. It just means that you haven't found them yet.
I'm glad that I haven't given up on the notion of me being able to have a relationship just because I'm a certain age. If other people want to believe that then so be it! (But I know that it's not true).
If you're going to be down on yourself and constantly put yourself down, how will you expect anyone to like you?

It's good that you haven't given up on relationships just because you've reached a certain age.
I haven't given up either just because I've had a few bad relationships in the past ( and I'm still young).
Hope is better than despair.

Actually its not me that has given up on relationships - its my brother who has given up! He told me that he was sure that no one would be interested in him and I find that very sad - not because its true - but he thinks that it is.
